NYC Oregon Pinot Dinner: A Better Way to Spend Cinco de Mayo

If your original plan for the evening of May 5 was to down overpriced margaritas and guacamole, scrap it now. Here's something much better to do.

One of NYC's hottest restaurants, The Monarch Room, is hosting a dinner featuring the wines of Domaine Serene head winemaker Erik Kramer. He'll be presiding alongside Monarch Room executive chef Michael Citarella, who'll be presenting a pretty incredible price-fix four-course menu:

The dinner starts at 7pm, and costs $175 per person – which is a good value considering that's the amount most people discover is how much they spent on sugary, watery margaritas and bland quesadillas when they wake up and look at their credit-card slips on the morning of May 6. Plus, these are some pretty incredible Domaine Serene wines that are generally tough to find, and not necessarily the most affordable on the list. This is a great way to experience several of them at a very fair price, never mind alongside an incredible meal.

This promises to be a much more memorable Cinco de Mayo than any you've (not) enjoyed previously.
